Well, let’s just say 2024 didn’t quite wrap up the way I had planned. Christmas came with a curveball in the form of illness, and, as any business owner knows, when you’re running the show, it doesn’t matter if you’re under the weather – work still needs to get done. But, here’s the thing: the difference between being overwhelmed and keeping things on track is having a team that’s as dedicated and capable as mine.

First off, a massive thank you to all of my clients for your understanding and patience. Christmas can be hectic for everyone, but this year, it threw me for a loop. With some unexpected downtime due to illness, I had to lean heavily on my incredible team. Thanks to them, everything stayed afloat.

When you’re managing a business like Lynsey Cook Virtual Assistant, it’s not just about juggling client work and admin tasks – it’s about knowing that the work will continue even if life throws you a curveball. That’s why I’m so grateful to have such a fantastic team behind me. From social media management to the essential admin tasks, I didn’t have to worry about a thing. The team jumped in without missing a beat, keeping things running smoothly.  Ensuring all clients were taken care of during the busiest time of the year.

2025 – The Year of Consistency, Growth

As we step into 2025, I’m focusing on creating stronger relationships with my clients and offering more retainer-based work. It’s time to level up and make sure my clients get the ongoing support they need, without scrambling for ad-hoc solutions. A retainer model allows for consistent support, prioritizing long-term business goals and ongoing needs.

I’ve learned that having predictable, stable partnerships not only gives me peace of mind.  But it also means I can offer my clients even more value. More time to focus on their business, more customised solutions, and less back-and-forth with urgent, one-off tasks. It’s a win-win for everyone involved!

Now, more than ever, I appreciate the relationships I’ve built over the years with my clients. Your understanding and flexibility, especially over the holidays, mean the world to me. Knowing that I can rely on my team and that my clients trust me to deliver – even when life doesn’t go according to plan—has been incredibly humbling.
